American Inventor ... wOOt!
ok. today's wOOt! item is too dang cool. (Friday, April 21, '06) Now THAT is an invention.
Speaking of inventions, my wife and I watched American Inventor for the first time tonight. Can somebody out there with Google Skillz find out something for me? I have a hunch that American Inventor automatically owns the rights to ALL inventions submitted. True?

Didn't know I had Google Skillz, but we were wondering the same thing so I looked around a bit.

Once I audition for the show, who will own my idea?
At all times throughout the Program, the inventor will continue to own 100% of his/her invention (including patent, if applicable). Producers & ABC will only be granted a license to exploit such rights, and only if you advance to the top 9 finalists.
If you do not advance past the audition stage, you will not be granting any rights in your invention to the producers or the network (other than the right to show your invention on television and related promotion and exploitation of the Program).
Here ya go.
Deb,
Thats the answer I was lookin' for!
George,
The Sackmaster 2000 was HANDS DOWN the best opportunity for profit. That thing will sell like crazy. They got rid of that guy (justifiably) for one reason... he fired their crew. Come on, ... what in the heck was he thinking?
I am 100% with you George. I was telling my wife that he coulda made a lego/poop/leave-picker-upper version for the home, and then a second version for clean up crews. He TOTALLY blew his chance. And then that funky strap thing he made? Pathetic!
Sue,
sounds good. Yeah, Heath and I ARE a lot alike in many ways. I always thought he was a pretty studly guy. *wink*
