Not too shabby.

Spent the last two three four hours sitting in front of my computer browsing old digital photos that we have stored. Picture after picture brought back so many great memories. I'm sitting here laughing aloud... and then sighing deeply as I watch my children grow up with the spin of the mousewheel.

Today Samuel got slammed in the head with a soccer ball at practice. Sent him in to the air with both feet flying ... the audience gasped, waiting for the anticipated wailing of a little boy. Ah... but they waited in vain. This is no ordinary boy people! Come on! He is a man in training. And as such, he sucked it up, shrugged it off, and got up for another run at it! --
"Adda' boy son. Adda' boy."

I've also just added a flickr badge to my blog... for those so inclined, you can now scroll to the very bottom of my blog to see some select photos from the life of yours truly. Hitting REFRESH will bring up some new random pics for you to look at.

A good reminder of some of the best things in life: Laughter & Loved Ones.

Hi Miroslav,

I enjoyed the movie clip of your boy playing soccer. This whole blog thing really is neat. It's incredible to me how technology helps us stay in touch. Even when we are only a few miles away. I can see you are enjoying fatherhood. Keep up the good work.

Dashboard,
Man, it is so crazy cool watching these little monsters grow up!

DJ,
Technology is tre-neato. If you have a digital camcorder its not too tough to put sharable video on the web. This thing took me all of twenty minutes, and that included a couple of computer crashes on my end because I have some bad RAM!

*** STATS UPDATE ***
I forgot to mention my son's stats for his first soccer game. He played goalie first half, which was his first time on a soccer field. The first shot on goal rolled in as he was picking his nose. He had no real idea of what he was supposed to do. Then, he got seven saves in a row! Five of them were two on one breaks and he did a great job, seriously. One other goal got by him that he tried for but was too slow. I think his trainer was right, he needs to focus more on his quads. That, plus more steroids and he should be ready for the next game.

Miro, my son.

Oh my gosh! What footage of my beloved Samuel. I am scizophrenic right now...crying like a baby and laughing my butt off.

The clincher for me was hearing your voice so enthusiastically cheering Sam. I love your heart for your family. I am a very happy Mimi.

I can't wait to see a live game - looks like 9/28.

Lots of love and crazy gratitude for the awesome man you are.

Miroslav,

My deepest apologies for using your real identity. I am new at this and didn't even consider using your name was a no no.

I will learn to blog more circumspectly, there was nothing malicous about it, just a simple indiscretion.

P.S., these words are littered with inside meaning. If you don't see them, ask Dashboard.

Miroslav,
Great pics1 Life is so short and at times so hard and then... Looking at those pictures makes you remember the precious , irreplaceable things that bless us and we often take for granted. I was considering all that you wrote about the responsibilities of life and truly it is those very responsibilities that bring us joy and fulfillment. But ultimately complete fulfillment is found the other side of heaven. All the yeaarning and discontent that we experience and try to satisfy with things or others, can only be met in God. I think that it is important to embrace that fact because then we are more open and vulnerable to be able to enjoy the gifts that God has given us here on this earth. But, it does put you in a place of feeling the lack more deeply also.
It requires real courage to embrace God fully, because as we see hHis heart we are grieved by the sin and fallen nature of the world as we know it. I guess I should buy you that book I have told you about, "Bold Love". Powerful life giving book!
