Apparently, we are not going to stop them from coming and we aren't going to send them back. And really, when you stop and think about the circumstances, how could we (both morally and practically)? This is the best opportunity for freedom, health, and escape from poverty that many of these people have. I've read some of Yancey's other stuff and really enjoyed it. Of all his books that I've read, this one takes the cake for this particular time of my life. An outstanding read. I didn't plan it this way, but being given this book is turning out to be pretty amazing timing given that I'm heading off to the AIPAC conference this weekend. Elie Wiesel was a spiritually minded fourteen year old when he was taken in to the concentration camps of the Holocaust.
